Prayer Focus

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus, I paraphrase, admonishing his disciples warned them about certain prayers like the hypocrites who stand in synagogues to pray so as to be seen. He also admonished that they should avoid repetition prayers like the heathen for God knows what we need even before we pray. No wonder Apostle Paul speaking to The Romans made known to them the perfect way to pray which is Spirit led prayer.

This then is to say that the major reason we pray outside the communion with The Father as our opening texts highlights is to draw out God’s will by His spirit and not a prayer focused on our own needs or predicaments. This is because when we know the will of God and align ourselves with it , we will have no need.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Matthew 6:33 I paraphrase yet again might as well read, ”Stay focused on what is important to God and see your life sorted“.
I urge us beloved that our needs are not paramount to God’s needs but subject to His. Remember we were made for His pleasure hence to fulfill His purpose.

Give then first place/priority to His kingdom and Righteousness which is right doing above our self seeking, self satisfying plans.

PRAYER FOCUS; Holyspirit I yield to your nudging to stay on course with God’s purpose for there in we are fulfilled.

PRAY ATLEAST ONE HOUR IN THE SPIRIT DAILY.
